Day 1

WELCOME TO SRI LANKA (AIRPORT/COLOMBO)

Welcome to Sri Lanka! With a heartfelt welcome by our professional chauffeur guide and a Panoramic Tour representative, you will be transferred to the hotel in the cosmopolitan city of Sri Lanka. Depending on the time of your arrival you can go on a city tour around Colombo where you will get a chance to visit Independence Memorial Square, Old Parliament Building and Gangaramaya Temple while enjoying the taste of street food which is in abundance along the Galle Face Green. Travel Duration- 1 Hour

Day 2

OFF TO SIGIRIYA (COLOMBO/SIGIRIYA)

After your breakfast proceed to Sigiriya. En route you can enjoy a village tour in Galewela, you will get a chance to experience a Tuk Tuk ride, bullock and catamaran ride. After an authentic Sri Lankan Lunch with a chilled beer involve yourself in a cooking demonstration, get a chance to learn and cook local rice and curry and learn the ancient secret recipe while cooking with skilled demonstrators, continue your journey towards Sigiriya. En route visit the Dambulla Cave Temple a popular place of residence of Buddhist monks thereafter check in at the hotel and relax yourself in the pool for an overnight stay after a complimentary dinner. CLIMB SIGIRIYA ROCK (SIGIRIYA)

Have your breakfast pull out your camera, put on your shoes, take your back pack for a hiking session and proceed to Sigiriya. one of the most breathtaking sights in Sri Lanka to click on some Instagram worthy pictures and thereafter off to Pidurangala rock, an enormous rock located a few kilometers North of Sigiriya. Sigiriya rock known as the 8th Wonder of the World has been formed by the lava of a wiped out spring of gushing lava, it stands at 200 meters in height, surrounded by wildernesses. Have your lunch and proceed to Anuradhapura where you can witness the ancient temples which include Sri Maha Bodhi, Abhayagiri Dagoba, Ruwanwelisaya Dagoba and many more. If you like you can enjoy a foot massage at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel with a complimentary dinner after a hectic day.

Day 4

OFF TO NORTH (SIGIRIYA/JAFFNA)

Nallur Kandaswamy Temple

After having your breakfast let’s make our way to the Northern tip of Sri Lanka. Check in at the hotel, enjoy your lunch at a suggested hotel and by 4:00 pm off to visit the Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil, the majestic Hindu Temple of presiding deity Lord Murugan the god of love, war and beauty. In the evening visit one of Asia’s biggest library which has ever existed, you can also visit the Jaffna Fort built by the Portuguese then rebuilt by the Dutch. Overnight stay at hotel. NORTHERN TIP OF SRI LANKA (JAFFNA)

This morning after breakfast we visit Nagadeepa which is a small cultural island also known as Nainativu where you can experience a 20-minute boat ride over the Palk Bay, Nagadeepa is one of the island belonging to the knot of islands. Get a chance to taste the Jaffna crab curry and pittu which will make you crave for more. If time permits you can visit the archaeological museum which is located in Nallur. Back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

EAST COAST LINE (JAFFNA/TRINCOMALEE)

After breakfast continue your journey to Trincomalee, an incredible little town on the East coastline of Sri Lanka which offers you a charming white sand and is a standout among the best coastlines of Sri Lanka. Visit Koneswaram Temple the only Temple of the Thousand Pillars which is a temple full of vibrant colors and thereafter go on a city tour around Trincomalee to explore the North coast trading, visit Fort Fredrick which is currently occupied by the Sri Lankan military and Gokanna Vihara which lies inside Fort Fredrick on the North side of the Fort entrance and check in at the hotel to relax. Day 7

BEACH TIME (TRINCOMALEE)

After breakfast we leave to Pigeon Island by boat, you can enjoy a tan and go for a dip in the ocean. If you’re willing you can enjoy a snorkeling session, the best way to view underwater life in the shallow seas of Sri Lanka, this activity gets you engaged with the ocean’s underwater world and you can witness the beauty of something so amazing underwater, have a sea bath and relax through your day. TEMPLE OF THE TOOTH (TRINCOMALEE/KANDY)

Today we make our way towards Kandy after breakfast. After lunch check in at the hotel and off to visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic a religious shrine, the sanctuary reveres relics of what is believed to be the actual Tooth of Lord Buddha. Go on a shopping spree around Kandy also get a chance to visit the batik factory, view the wood carvings and gem shop which has an interesting history, Sri Lanka is referred to as Ratna-Dweepa which means Gem Island. By 4:00 pm off to enjoy the Kandyan dance show, Sri Lanka’s iconic performing art and back to the hotel for an overnight stay. Travel Duration- 4 Hours

Day 9

TRAIN JOURNEY THROUGH MISTY MOUNTAINS (KANDY/NUWARA ELIYA)

After breakfast proceed to Nuwara Eliya by train (subject to availability) one of the most scenic train journeys in the world, during the journey the train passes through lush greenish tea estates, many tunnels, farming fields, villages and forests. Nuwara Eliya is a city in the hill country of the Central Province, with a picturesque landscape and temperate climate and is considered to be the most important location for tea production in Sri Lanka. After sometime in the cultural triangle this is exactly what you need. Depending on the time go on a city tour where you will get a chance to visit the post office, Golf Club and proceed to Lake Gregory for an evening walk. Overnight stay at the hotel.
